Melissa Bodford, cofounder of uBack Kaitlin Reimann, cofounder of uBack
Andrew Somoza | President "Giving reminds me of the good in this world and the many wonderful people doing amazing acts of kindness for their fellow persons."  His credentials: Andrew brings with him 20-plus years of entrepreneurship experience in leading successful early-stage organizations. Having co- founded a number of technology companies, Andrew has amassed the skills necessary to take a business from concept to exit. His experiences are leveraged by various companies in board and advisory roles. As president of uBack, Andrew is engaged in sales, marketing, operations, technology and investor relations. He holds a bachelor's in management from the Georgia Institute of Technology.   His passion: Andrew lives in Atlanta with his wife and three daughters. He sits on the board of the YMCA of Metro Atlanta and of the Alexander- Tharpe Fund. He roots for all things Georgia Tech, where he played baseball, and spends most of his spare time outside, hunting or fishing.

Mary Johnson | Director of Digital Engagement "Changing the world is a matter of turning thoughts into actions. Technology makes that easier than ever."   Her credentials: As director of digital engagement, Mary leads all marketing, communications and public relations efforts for uBack, as well as overall community outreach. Mary comes to the role after more than a decade in journalism. Most recently, she was the editor of Bizwomen.com, a national news website for women in business. Prior to Bizwomen, Mary was the managing editor of NJBIZ, a business newspaper in New Jersey. She also worked for the New York digital news site DNAinfo.com and The Economist, among other publications. Mary has a master's from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and bachelor's from the University of Florida.  Her passion: Mary is an active mentor of women and supporter of women's rights. She's also a runner, a yogi, an avid reader and an animal lover. She lives in Charlotte, N.C., with her husband, her son, Max, and her enormous dog.

Sam Upton| Senior Revenue Strategist "Anne Frank probably said it best: No one has ever become poor by giving." His credentials: As senior revenue strategist, Sam leads all HR, accounting, finance and pricing strategy for uBack. He is a CPA who joined the uBack team from the accounting and finance department of Nucor Corporation, a steel company based in Charlotte, N.C. Prior to that, Sam spent two years with PricewaterhouseCoopers in their Charlotte Assurance Practice. He is a graduate of Elon University.  His passion: Outside the office, Sam is a Little League coach, reader, weight lifter, video gamer and hiker. He's also a proud supporter of Elon University and Little League Baseball.

Jennifer Mulkeen | Account Manager, Nonprofit "Working with people every day who change lives and communities has had a profound effect on how I view the world and serves as a daily reminder to never sweat the small stuff."  Her credentials: Jennifer has spent the past decade consulting health care systems on compliance in vendor credentialing. This position required organizational and communication skills that directly translate to her position with uBack. Prior to the account management position, she worked for several years as an advertising manager for Calvin Klein Cosmetics. Jennifer is a graduate of the University of Alabama.  Her passion: Jennifer lives in Atlanta and loves watching football and attending concerts and theatrical performances. When her children were young, she did a lot of volunteer work in school fundraising. After losing her father to lung cancer, her philanthropic efforts now focus on cancer research, among other causes. Jennifer also does voiceover work on the side, both industrial and commercial.

Martha Buckley| Relationship Development, Sales & Marketing "There is incredible power in connecting companies, nonprofits and individuals to be the catalyst for the change they want to see in their communities and the world."  Her credentials: Martha most recently was a community manager for the Startup Institute in Chicago and, prior to that, worked in a variety of roles spanning internal communications, brand marketing, packaging, PR and community relations at Staples, Inc., in Boston. At Staples, she also helped launch an employee assistance program, the Staples Share Fund.    Her passion: Martha lives in Chicago and enjoys spending time with family, friends, her beloved dog and serving as the co-chair of The Explorer Program’s Leadership Council. She's an avid hiker whose most exotic trek took her to the Base Camp of Mount Everest in Nepal. She's also a former competitive synchronized figure skater and now judges synchronized competitions around the country.

John Binzak | Lead Developer "I love to work with passionate people, and not only do I get to do so with everyone here at uBack every day, I also get to do so for a great cause." His credentials: John is a software developer and overall technology enthusiast. He has experience with developing mobile apps for a wide range of applications, such as media management solutions and electrocardiography system solutions. John is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Madison.   His passion: John lives in Chicago and loves to run. When he's not working on uBack's technology, you can most likely find him running along the lakeshore, training for an upcoming race. Also having done multiple triathlons, when he's not running, you might also find him swimming or riding his bike.  
Cassandra Farina | Director of Digital Branding and Marketing Relations "Being a part of the uBack team, we are surrounded by people radiating good. It’s a contagious feeling that makes each day so rewarding." Her credentials: Cassandra is a graphic designer with over 10 years experience in the areas of marketing and graphic design, brand development and creative management. Before joining uBack, she worked in graphic design, catalogue production and marketing for Leslie Hindman Auctioneers in Chicago. She holds a B.F.A. in graphic design from Iowa State University.   Her passion: Born and raised on Lake Michigan, Cassandra is a proud Green Bay Packers fan. When not at her Mac, you can find her in the kitchen, crafting a new project or exploring Washington, D.C., with stroller and hound dogs in hand.

Allen Spicer | Junior iOS Developer "I believe in turning thoughts into actions and supporting the organizations that need us, just like we need them." His credentials: Allen is an iOS developer with experience managing nonprofits and fundraising on their behalf. In nearly seven years in the nonprofit world, Allen served as a staff member, fundraising consultant and an executive director. His role at uBack joins his love for technology and his nonprofit experience into one focus: building powerful mobile solutions for nonprofits. Allen holds a degree in economics and entrepreneurship from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His passion: Allen has worked on five of the seven continents as a snowboard instructor, a moderator and a bosun. He has also sailed around Cape Horn. He's an active supporter of education and environment-focused organizations, as well as those focused on empowering other nonprofits.

Her credentials: Stephanie began her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Assurance Practice. After three years in Audit, she transitioned into the Campus Recruiting role and remained there for 10 years. She has both a master's in accounting and an undergraduate business degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  Her passion: Stephanie lives in Raleigh, N.C., with her husband and young son, Alex. She's an active supporter of the Triangle Down Syndrome Network, and in her spare time, enjoys running, swimming, cooking and playing with Alex.   
Mindy Miller | Director of Market Growth and Strategy "Giving back is not only our responsibility, but it also helps fuel our soul” Her credentials: At uBack, Mindy focuses her energy and thinking to lead our sales and growth across both our nonprofit partners and corporate clients. Her goal is to ensure our uBack family continues to bridge corporate social responsibility across our local communities. Prior to joining uBack, Mindy spent 15 years in financial management services consulting at Accenture. Her experience includes serving senior clients to manage large-scale and complex change, defining and executing target operating models, and leading extensive transformations and acquisitions while managing the change journey. Mindy is a summa cum laude graduate of North Carolina State University, with a B.S. in chemical engineering.   Her passion: Mindy lives in Charlotte, N.C., with her husband and two children, Hayden and Seth. She's a runner, skier and travel extremist who has visited six of the seven continents.  As a mother, Mindy’s greatest passion is creating increased opportunity and upward mobility for our next generation.

She has award-winning experience in helping Fortune 100 companies manage/implement change and has spent 15 years serving on nonprofit boards and building partnerships that solve community issues. Kaitlin is also a University of Illinois – Nonprofit Management Thought Leader, a member of the Advisory Circle for Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy Women's Philanthropy Institute and co-chair of Women Tech Founder's nonprofit programs. Earlier in her career, Kaitlin worked as a journalist for the Irish Independent in Ireland, as well as CBS News in Boston and Chicago. Her passion: Kaitlin is passionate about family, community and the great city of Chicago, where she lives with her husband, Chris and son, Charlie. Kaitlin channels her energy into helping organizations that create stronger, healthier communities, such as Heartland Alliance, Cook County Health Foundation, Girls Take Charge, New Sector Alliance and Spark. She's also a sports fanatic, proud Michigan State University alum and outdoor enthusiast. Her family's dream vacation is to spend months hiking each of the national parks.
